PODCASTONE gets a profile in the next issue of FORBES, which looks at founder NORM PATTIZ and the company's plans for success in the podcast space.
“It was a $34 million business before we got into it,” PATTIZ told FORBES' ZACK O'MALLEY GREENBURG. “In short order, another zero will be added to that, and I think the potential for growth is going to make this an industry that will be in the billions.” The article looks at PATTIZ' strategy for the company by signing celebrity hosts, about which GIMLET MEDIA founder ALEX BLUMBERG says, “There will be the 'GAME OF THRONES' of podcasting, and there will be the 'KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS' of podcasting. I think his strategy is great.” And asked at a conference whether podcasting had entered its golden age, PATTIZ responded, "Hell no! We’re moving along the pathway, but we’ve got a long way to go.”
