Dartmouth Radio Station To Host Public Talks In Celebration Of Its 75th Anniversary

On SATURDAY, APRIL 30th, DARTMOUTH BROADCASTING will host a series of free public talks in celebration of both the 75th anniversary of regular student broadcasting on campus and the 40th anniversary of the launch of WFRD. The panel discussions will feature numerous industry professionals, many of whom are alumni of the station.
Saturday, April 30
9–11a: "The Evolution of Radio at DARTMOUTH: Student Learning for 75 Years" (HALDEMAN 031/041) Moderated by TIM H. BROOKS ‘64
11:30a–1p: "Speaking on Inclusion: Participation and Cultural Expression at DARTMOUTH BROADCASTING" (HALDEMAN 031/041) Moderated by Professor DOUGLAS J. MOODY
2–3:30p: "The Future and Influence of Radio, Media and DARTMOUTH BROADCASTING." (PAGANUCCI LOUNGE) Moderated by DAVID MARSTON ‘74
Additionally, a banquet will be held later that evening for alumni and current station members. The banquet will feature remarks by DARTMOUTH Pres. PHILIP J. HANLON ’77 and U.S. Senator ANGUS KING ‘66, with a keynote address by JAMES ROSENFIELD, SR. ‘52, former President of CBS-TV and President of JHR & ASSOCIATES.
