The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) held its inaugural CMA MUSIC TEACHER OF EXCELLENCE honors in NASHVILLE last NIGHT (4/26) and recognized 50 music teachers for their dedication to their students, their commitment to teaching, and their undeniable role in enriching the community and their individual schools. A member of the CMA Board of Directors, ATLANTIC/WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist BRETT ELDREDGE hosted the event, which awarded each Teacher of Excellence a $2,000 grant from the CMA FOUNDATION.
"Purchasing instruments has been central to the mission of the FOUNDATION," said CMA FOUNDATION Chairman/Board Of Directors JOE GALANTE. "But rewarding teachers provides the motivation and encouragement necessary to have a dynamic, sustainable music program in NASHVILLE and other cities."
