DOWNTOWN MUSIC PUBLISHING's SONGTRUST division has announced a number of new hires and promotions on the heels of its recent performance license with YOUTUBE to directly license, process and distribute public performance royalties for its clients (NET NEWS 4/12).
GRACE CAREY has joined the SONGTRUST team as a Developer, where she will be contributing code, with duties including full-stack development and dev-ops work. She brings five years of experience developing applications with a focus on usability. Most recently, she was a full-stack developer at VAYNERMEDIA, where she helped build a suite of internal business and reporting tools.
MICHAEL LORENZ has been promoted from Junior Developer to Product Manager, where he will be working closely with the Operations and Development teams to expedite releases, improve the quality of software, and spearhead new features for clients across all of DOWNTOWN's platforms.
KYLE THIEDE has been promoted to Manager, Publishing Operations, where he will maintain and develop client relations and partnerships, as well as collaborate with Development to build new features and drive system quality. Prior to working at SONGTRUST, KYLE worked at BMG RIGHTS MANAGEMENT and EMI-SONY/ATV.
All three will report to DOWNTOWN VP Tech and SONGTRUST GM JOE CONYERS III, who commented: "SONGTRUST's growing team will help us create new and innovative products to better serve our clientele.
