Former SAN DIEGO CHARGERS Center NICK HARDWICK has joined the team's radio crew as its new color analyst, filling the slot left vacant after HANK BAUER's firing last season. The CHARGERS, whose proposed move to LOS ANGELES was delayed by the NFL for a year while the club seeks a new stadium deal from SAN DIEGO, air on iHEARTMEDIA Active Rock KIOZ (ROCK 105.3) and Sports KLSD-A (XTRA 1360 FOX SPORTS SAN DIEGO)/SAN DIEGO; JOSH LEWIN continues as play-by-play voice of the BOLTS.
“I'm so incredibly thankful and wildly excited for the opportunity to still be involved with the game I'm passionate about, and the team I love,” said HARDWICK, who retired last year. “I plan to bring the same work ethic, curiosity, energy, and own brand of humor to the CHARGERS radio broadcast as I did to the football field for more than a decade. I look forward to learning from my partner, one of the best in the game, JOSH LEWIN, and growing into a professional color commentator.”
“JOSH and NICK will make a terrific broadcast team,” said iHEARTMEDIA SAN DIEGO/RIVERSIDE Region President MELISSA FORREST. ”JOSH is one of the premiere (sic) play-by-play broadcasters in the business, and NICK is a respected former player, CHARGERS favorite and possesses intimate game-day knowledge. I am sure our fans will love this new combo.”
