CCB MEDIA and CAPECOD.COM NEWS are set to co-host "State of the CAPE,” a discussion with the CAPE COD legislative delegation this FRIDAY, MAY 13th, at 11a (ET) at the CAPE COD COMMUNITY MEDIA CENTER and will be aired on CABLE 99 as well as streamed live on CapeCod.com.
Hosted by CCB MEDIA News Director MATT PITTA and the CapeCod.com news team, the goal is to get a perspective on the issues most important to local residents. PITTA commented: “As the Legislature moves through the final months of their current two-year session, there are many issues that still need to be addressed, including the ongoing opioid crisis. Our 'State of the CAPE' session will provide a unique opportunity to bring the region's legislative delegation together in one place to hear what initiatives and proposals lay ahead for the rest of 2016."
Legislators confirmed include: Senator DAN WOLF, Representative RANDY HUNT, Representative TIMOTHY WHELAN, Representative BRIAN MANNAL, Representative DAVID VIEIRA, Representative TIMOTHY MADDEN and Representative SARAH PEAKE.
CCB Media GM BEVERLY TILDEN explained: “We are a rare locally owned media company that is committed to our responsibility in the community. If we can open up a community dialog, uncover some issues on which we can shine a light via our airwaves and websites, we may be able to find ways to work with both businesses and citizens to unite and address these issues together rather than everyone working individually.”
