A fire and propane explosion at a food booth during a concert promoted by CBS RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic KSFM/SACRAMENTO at the city's DISCOVERY PARK on SUNDAY (5/15) caused multiple burn injuries and some panic among concert-goers, who stampeded after hearing propane tanks exploding and seeing flames at the booth.
The sold-out "102.5 LIVE" concert was headlined by E-40 and featured FAT JOE and REMY MA, TYGA, TY DOLLA $IGN, DESIIGNER, KEHLANI, LIL DICKY, THE INTERNET, LUKE NASTY, and NEF THE PHAROAH. Crosstown ABC affiliate KXTV (ABC10) reported that three people were taken to the hospital with injuries related to the stampede and three more were treated for minor burns but refused to be taken to the hospital after the explosion, which occurred when a deep fryer caused a small fire that ignited a propane tank. The concert continued as scheduled after the incident.
