Congratulations to CAPITOL NASHVILLE’s KEITH URBAN, his management team at BORMAN ENTERTAINMENT, and label group UMG NASHVILLE on a #1 Country album debut for URBAN’s latest release, “RipCord.” URBAN’s eighth studio release sold 106,000 units in its first week, with 93,000 in pure album sales, according to NIELSEN MUSIC. Those numbers better the opening week for URBAN’s last release, 2013’s “Fuse,” which moved 98,000 copies its debut week.
Additionally, URBAN’s impressive first week ranks him at #4 on the all-genre album chart. Also making a solid debut: WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE’s COLE SWINDELL, whose sophomore set, “You Should Be Here,” ranks #2 on the Country albums chart and #5 all-genre, based on first week sales of 76,000 units and 65,000 pure album sales.
