EMMIS Rock KSHE/ST. LOUIS will celebrate JOHN ULETT’s 40th Anniversary at the legendary station by kicking off a series of special on-air and online events. Affectionately known as “U-MAN,” ULETT began his KSHE career in 1976 and is the station’s longest, continuously broadcasting air talent.
To celebrate, ULETT and KSHE’s morning show co-host, LAUREN “LERN” ELWELL, will broadcast live from the site of KSHE’s first professional office and studio located at 9434 Watson Road, CRESTWOOD, MO (also known as the “cinder block building”) on MAY 25th, from 6-10a. Special guests include long-time fellow KSHE broadcasters, MARK KLOSE and JOE “MAMA” MASON.
ULETT said, “There is only one way that an air personality could stay at a music radio station for 40 years... the same format, stable ownership/management and getting up when the alarm clock goes off every morning. I thank our listeners for being there the whole time.”
