Sharon Stone To Receive NABEF Service To America Leadership Award

Actress SHARON STONE will receive the 2016 Service to America Leadership Award from the NAB EDUCATION FOUNDATION (NABEF) at the organization's Celebration of Service to America Awards event on JUNE 21st in WASHINGTON. The award will recognize STONE's work with THE FOUNDATION FOR AIDS RESEARCH (amFAR), for which she has received honors from the HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN and NOBEL PEACE SUMMIT, her co-founding PLANET HOPE with her sister KELLY, and her support of THE BRIDGE FUND.
“SHARON STONE is a gifted actress and humanitarian recognized for her work both on and off the screen,” said NABEF Pres. MARCELLUS ALEXANDER. “Her tireless advocacy efforts have helped the AIDS research community come closer to finding a cure for one of the world’s most crippling epidemics.”
