CURTIS E. DURST is selling THUNDER ASSOCIATES, LLC, licensee of Oldies WELD-A and Adult Hits WQWV (103.7 JACK FM)/FISHER, WV and Country WELD-F/MOOREFIELD, WV to P. ELAINE DAVIS and STEVEN L. DAVIS for $1.3 million.
In other filings with the FCC, WILLIAMS COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling Urban WFXO (98.3 THE BEAT JAMZ)/ASHLAND, AL to FRANK LEE PERRYMAN's MARBLE CITY MEDIA, LLC for $50,000.
RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. is transferring W257AA/LA GRANGE, GA to REYNOLDS TECHNICAL ASSOCIATES, LLC for past engineering and consulting services, satisfying past due obligations.
WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for KWCR-F/OGDEN, UT due to "certain difficulties keeping the student-run station... on the air."
MANUEL E. ARROYO has closed on the sale of W268BW/GAINESVILLE, FL (now W257DQ/ORLANDO) to FLORIDA BROADCASTERS PARTNERSHIP for $100. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Gospel WRMQ-A (REJOICE 103.7)/ORLANDO, which presently simulcasts on W237CO/EATONVILLE, FL.
EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of W290CN/BIRMINGHAM, AL to the Board of Trustees of the UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM for $100,000.
FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. has closed on the sale of W283CB/JONESTOWN, PA to RADIO POWER INC. for $50,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Urban WAMO-A (WAMO 100)/WILKINSBURG-PITTSBURGH, which currently has an FM translator simulcast on W261AX/PITTSBURGH.
DAVID COLE has closed on the sale of W221CO/WINONA, WV to ZACK MEDIA, LLC for $25,000.
And SHINE THE LIGHT, INC. has closed on the sale of K300AS/THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN to R&J BROADCASTING, INC. for $17,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk-Oldies KKCQ-A (TALK 'N' OLDIES 1480)/FOSSTON, MN.
In a deal yet to appear in the FCC database, EUGENE HEINEMEYER's SOUTHWEST FLORIDA RADIO BROADCASTING, LLC is selling Adult Standards WTMY-A/SARASOTA to TOMAS MARTINEZ's SOLMART MEDIA, LLC for $125,000 ($100,000 plus assumption of obligations). SOUTHWEST FLORIDA bought the station in 2014 for $75,000. HADDEN & ASSOCIATES served as exclusive broker for the transaction.
In another deal yet to appear in the FCC database, DEL and MARY REYNOLDS' NORTHERN STAR BROADCASTING is selling Classic Rock WCKC (THE BEAR)/CADILLAC, MI to DOM and JENNIFER THEODORE's UP NORTH RADIO LLC for $180,000. JASON JAMES of PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS served as exclusive broker for the deal. Earlier this week. NORTHERN STAR sold seven other full-power stations in NORTHERN MICHIGAN and a translator to MIKE CHIRES and NORM MCKEE's BLACK DIAMOND BROADCAST HOLDINGS, LLC for $1,950,000.
