2016 Student Murrow Award Winners Announced

The RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS ASSOCIATION (RTDNA) has announced the winners of the 2016 Student EDWARD R. MURROW Awards.
"This year's winners demonstrate a level of excellence we want to encourage in journalism programs across the country," said RTDNA Chair KATHY WALKER. "We're excited to honor their work and encourage them as they bring their skills and enthusiasm to our profession."
The Audio division winner was NOEL GASCA of UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON News-Talk KUOW/SEATTLE's RADIOACTIVE YOUTH MEDIA for "IVY." Winning for video was KENT STATE UNIVERSITY's VIVIAN FEKE for "MAKING A DIFFERENCE," and winning for digital were the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA-BERKELEY GRADUATE SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM's ALEXANDRA GARRETÓN, JAKE NICOL, and CHRIS SCHODT for "Digital: Wiped, Flashed, and Rekitted: The International Black Market of Stolen Cell Phones."
