Now CBS Radio Faces Lawsuit Over Unsolicited Text Messages

Another radio group has been hit with a lawsuit over alleged unsolicited text messages, this time CBS RADIO.
Plaintiff ELAINE BONIN filed the putative class action suit in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of WISCONSIN claiming that CBS RADIO Sports WSCR-A (67 THE SCORE)/CHICAGO violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending SMS messages to her TRACFONE cell phone without prior express written consent, each one containing sports scores or news and eating up 0.3 minutes of her time allotment under her TRACFONE plan.
BONIN seeks $500.00 in statutory damages and treble damages for each message. for herself and for all members of the class.
