SAG-AFTRA has taken its battle over low wages for CUMULUS Sports KNBR-A and KTCT-A/SAN FRANCISCO to video with a two-minute presentation on YOUTUBE, complaining about the stations paying close to minimum wage for many employees.
The video, which charges that CUMULUS "refuses to pay a living wage" to the employees, features Producer JAMES KINCAID, producer/reporter JOE HUGHES, producer TIM WEBB, producer/anchor/host PATRICK CONNOR, and creative director TONY RHEIN (who points out that SAN FRANCISCO is the most expensive city in which to live). "No matter how loyal we are as employees," producer EAMONN SWEENEY charges in the video, "there has been zero effort to compensate the employees that make the station what it is."
SAG-AFTRA has established an online petition to back its campaign to raise wages for its employees at savelocalradio.org/knbr/.
