Paula Erickson, Jordan Stone Launch Twitter Group Chat App 'Huckle'
June 9, 2016 at 8:55 AM (PT)
Longtime TAYLOR SWIFT publicist, PAULA ERICKSON of NASHVILLE-based ERICKSON PUBLIC RELATIONS, has joined the new TWITTER group chat app HUCKLE, founded by former 13 MANAGEMENT Head of Digital Marketing, JORDAN STONE and GREGORY HILL. The app works in conjunction with TWITTER to offer a live group chat experience, and the soft launch has already seen Country artists LINDSAY ELL, LEVI HUMMON, RAELYNN, and others utilizing it to connect with fans.
Additionally, HUCKLE has been used by ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY to host an "AMERICAN Idol" chat during the show's final season, by DREW and JONATHAN SCOTT of "Property Brothers" to live chat during a book signing, and to host live chats during the GRAMMY AWARDS and the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS.
As ERICKSON told ALL ACCESS, "TWITTER chats are basically sending a tweet and hoping the artist randomly sees and responds...which never happens. But HUCKLE is like a group text with your TWITTER followers. Engagement in a HUCKLE chat is around ten minutes per user, as compared to five seconds reading a tweet." Until now, the soft launch has only allowed for HUCKLE to be used on the iPhone iOS platforms; however, ERICKSON and STONE will launch HUCKLE across all platforms TODAY (6/9) at 11a (ET). The app is free and will be available in the APP STORE and at online here.
