MUSICIANS ON CALL emerged the winner when PREMIERE NETWORKS syndicated "THE BOBBY BONES SHOW" host BOBBY BONES stepped in to the ring with REPUBLIC NASHVILLE duo FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE. After BONES recently admitted to putting up billboards around NASHVILLE as a publicity stunt when he first moved to the city, the boys of FGL -- and specifically TYLER HUBBARD -- threw a friendly jab at the radio host during a recent interview. During a conversation about FGL's own controversies, HUBBARD told SIRIUSXM "THE HIGHWAY" host STORME WARREN, "We didn't put up a billboard on the interstate."
BONES got wind of the jab and tweeted, "Game recognize game," and "I really don't care what [FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE] says about me in an interview. I don't take stuff personally. I respect their music." In a show of solidarity with the duo and to prove there's "no beef" with FGL, BONES made a $5,000 donation to MUSICIANS ON CALL in FGL's name. In return, FGL announced via TWITTER that they would also donate, saying, "Love [MUSICIANS ON CALL] - we're a DUO though, so we're in for $10k in [BOBBY BONES'] name as a sign of NO BEEF." See? Country artists and industry professionals are so nice that even when they throw simple, friendly jabs at friends, they feel compelled to make up for it by donating large sums of money to worthwhile charitable causes. Kudos to BOBBY BONES and FGL for settling their non-existent "beef" in this manner, and congratulations to MUSICIANS ON CALL for being the recipient of $15,000 in "no beef" money.
