KFGO-KVOX/Fargo To Air University Of North Dakota Sports

New Logo, Name, Stations

MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS News-Talk KFGO-A and Sports KVOX-A (740 THE FAN)/FARGO will air UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA sports under a new five-year deal with LEARFIELD's UND SPORTS PROPERTIES. Football and hockey will air on KFGO, while men's and women's basketball and weekly coaches' shows will air on THE FAN.

The games are moving to KFGO and KVOX from crosstown FORUM News-Talk WDAY-A, which has been the school's FARGO radio home for six years. UND has also unveiled its new logo to accompany the new nickname "FIGHTING HAWKS," changed from FIGHTING SIOUX.

"We are looking forward to partnering with MIDWEST RADIO-FARGO MOORHEAD to deliver the best quality broadcasts in the FARGO market,” UND Dir./Athletics BRIAN FAISON said. “MIDWEST RADIO is a respected name in the industry and working with them will provide a valuable product for our fans throughout the various sport seasons. I’d also like to thank WDAY, our previous partner, for their commitment and service to our department over the last several years.”
