GRAMMY winner and rap impresario JERMAINE DUPRI and his SO SO DEF label are partnering with LA REID's EPIC RECORDS to release music from the contestants in DUPRI’s hit TV show, "The Rap Game," which returns for its second season on LIFETIME, JULY 22nd.
DUPRI's next project is BET's forthcoming series "Music Moguls," in which cameras will follow him in the studio as he mentors rising phenoms CARSON LEUDERS and PHRESH ALI. The show also stars DAMON DASH, BIRDMAN and SNOOP DOGG.
The first season of "The Rap Game" was won by 16-year-old MISS MULATTO, whose single, "No More Talking," was produced by DUPRI and MIKE KALOMBO as the first female rapper on SO SO DEF since DA BRAT. All five Season 1 contestants, including MISS MULATTO, will join the Season 2 finalists and eventual winner on tour come the end of SEPTEMBER.
DUPRI was 19 years old, when he first discovered groundbreaking rap duo KRIS KROSS, whose debut album, "Totally Krossed Out," sold four million on the strength of the hit singles “Jump” and “Warm it Up.”
“LA and I have had the biggest hits together; we belong together again, to make magic with this collaboration!” says DUPRI.
