Global Interactive Media Files Patent Lawsuit Against SiriusXM

GLOBAL INTERACTIVE MEDIA, INC, a BELIZE-incorporated company that sued broadcasters over patents for displaying playlists and programming listings on websites, has sued SIRIUSXM for patent infringement, alleging violations of patents that covered automated programming and music and video information displayed on websites.
The plaintiff recently settled with ENTERCOM, HUBBARD, A&E TELEVISION NETWORKS, VIGGLE, TIME WARNER CABLE, REELZ CHANNEL, FX NETWORKS, SHAZAM, HUBBARD,TRIBUNE MEDIA, COMCAST, and SCRIPPS NETWORKS INTERACTIVE, and HBO over similar allegations, with terms undisclosed. Other suits have more recently been filed against DISCOVERY COMMUNICATIONS, AXEWAVE, WIDEOPENWEST FINANCE, and YAHOO!.
The latest series of suits were filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of ILLINOIS.
