CUMULUS MEDIA/KNOXVILLE has tapped market veteran JEFF JARNIGAN as OM for its three-station cluster, which includes Country WIVK, News-Talk WOKI, and Sports Talk WNML-A/F. He fills the vacancy created by the departure of BOB RALEIGH in MAY (NET NEWS 5/4). JARNIGAN brings over 30 years in radio broadcasting experience across the KNOXVILLE market and more than 20 years’ experience in programming management to his new role.
"We are thrilled to add someone of JEFF's reputation and experience to lead our outstanding programming team," said CUMULUS MEDIA/KNOXVILLE VP/Market Manager KEN SALYER. "His knowledge of our stations, market, and region are invaluable, as is his passion for our industry and community." Added JARNIGAN, "Being associated with the legendary WIVK, as well as the flagship station for the VOL NETWORK, SportsRadio WNML, and the home of PHIL WILLIAMS and HALLERIN HILTON HILL, NewsTalk 98.7, is akin to winning the radio lottery. These stations are each dominant in their respective formats and have defined success in EAST TENNESSEE radio for decades. I am excited to partner with the station teams to continue that success and drive their future growth."
