Connie Hillman Exits Elton John Organization

Music industry veteran CONNIE PAPPAS HILLMAN has parted with the ELTON JOHN organization after over four decades. She will assume the role of VP of BAR NONE MUSIC, INC., the management and publishing entity for her husband CHRIS HILLMAN. She will also continue at the helm of CONSTANT COMMUNICATIONS CORP., the company she founded in 1982 as the production enterprise for all of ELTON JOHN's NORTH AMERICAN tours. The company will now continue to diversify its business activities, which include the expansion of her collegiate lecture series on women in today's music industry.
For the last 43 years, CONNIE HILLMAN served in various capacities within the ELTON JOHN corporate structure and has played an integral role in the rock star's domestic career activities. She began as EVP of THE ROCKET RECORD COMPANY in 1973. Most recently, she served as NORTH AMERICAN tour producer since 1982, which included co-production of all the FACE TO FACE tours with ELTON and BILLY JOEL from 1994 through 2010.. For the past 13 years, she was VP of the ELTON JOHN CHARITABLE FUND and served on the board of the ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION.
HILLMAN began her career working for ELTON JOHN's agent, HOWARD ROSE, and was just 24 when she moved on to the recording side as EVP of ROCKET RECORDS, joining ELTON JOHN's former manager JOHN REID. She was appointed EVP of JOHN REID ENTERPRISES, co-managing ELTON, BERNIE TAUPIN, QUEEN, KIKI DEE and CAROLE BAYER SAGER.
Her notable accomplishments at JRE included the co-production of ELTON's TROUBADOUR BENEFIT CONCERT in 1974 and his historic concert at DODGER STADIUM in 1975. She was appointed VP of ROCKET MUSIC publishing company and POPTROPOLIS ENTERPRISES, overseeing television development for the HUDSON BROTHERS.
