UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS football and men's basketball will move in the HOUSTON market to new LONGHORNS network affiliate iHEARTMEDIA Sports KBME-A (SPORTSTALK 790AM)/HOUSTON. The station will also air UT coaches' shows and other programs, and some games will be bumped to sister News-Talk KTRH-A (football) and News-Talk KPRC-A (men's basketball) in the event of conflicts with HOUSTON ASTROS baseball or HOUSTON ROCKETS basketball.
"We're thrilled to be the new home for LONGHORN football and basketball and look forward to bringing UT fans all of the action live on our family of radio stations," said iHEARTMEDIA Dir./AM Programming BRYAN ERICKSON.
"I'm truly excited about our partnership with SPORTSTALK 790 and iHEARTMEDIA HOUSTON," said UT Men's Athletics Director MIKE PERRIN. "HOUSTON is such a critical market for the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS and this will provide a great opportunity for all of our fans in that region to tune into the LONGHORNS."
