UMG Taps Maria Alonte As SVP/Film & TV Synchs For Def Jam, Island, Republic

MARIA ALONTE has been named SVP/Film & Television Synchronization for DEF JAM, ISLAND AND REPUBLIC RECORDS.Previously SVP/Film & TV at DR. LUKE's KEMOSABE RECORDS and PRESCRIPTION SONGS, ALONTE will oversee licensing music from the three UMG EAST COAST labels for use in film, television, video games, commercials and all other visual media. Based in SANTA MONICA, she will report to UMG EVP MICHELE ANTHONY and UMG CFO for EAST COAST Labels JOSEPH SCHMIDT.
