UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORK (USRN) has tapped ENTRAVISION Country KNTY (THE WOLF)/SACRAMENTO MD MIKE ALLEN as the new host for its weekly "25 YEARS OF HITS" Country count-up show. ALLEN will oversee the weekly production of the show for USRN. "25 YEAR OF HITS" features #1 hits in chronological order for the past quarter century, weaving its way from the format's gold library directly into the world of today's contemporary hits. The show began in 2005 and is now heard on 89 stations across the UNITED STATES.
Additionally, USRN has completed a deal with CALIFORNIA-based CABLE CAR COMMUNICATIONS, INC. to license "25 YEARS OF HITS," which is the creation of BOB UTLEY at CABLE CAR. USRN has been the distributor for "25 YEARS OF HITS" for the past eight YEARS and will now produce the program with UTLEY remaining on in the capacity of Creative Consultant.
"We built a great program as independent producers, moved into a partnership with UNITED STATIONS to build the program further, and now it's time to hand over the reins," said UTLEY. USRN EVP/Programming ANDY DENEMARK added, "We're as enthusiastic about MIKE ALLEN as he is about moving into the driver's seat on the show. And with the new emphasis on the music library at many Country stations, we expect some added momentum for this show going forward."
