Price For EMF's Purchase Of KSLY/San Luis Obispo: $350,000

The price by which EL DORADO BROADCASTERS LLC (EDB VV LICENSE LLC) is selling Silent KSLY, the former SUNNY COUNTRY and SLO COUNTRY, in SAN LUIS OBISPO to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is $350,000. The price was not disclosed in the initial announcement last week.
In other filings with the FCC, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is also selling W226BC/BRIGHTON, IL and K300BU/SIKESTON, MO to FOREVER COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $85,000. The buyer plans to move the translators to rebroadcast Sports WBGN-A (THE TICKET)/BOWLING GREEN, KY and News-Talk WNBS-A/MURRAY, KY, respectively. And EMF has closed on the sale of W267AT/SHERBURNE, NY to BLOUNT COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $71,000; the buyer plans to relocate the translator to rebroadcast Religion WARV-A/WARWICK, RI.
VIRGINIA TECH FOUNDATION, INC. has requested a Silent STA for W238BN/ORANGE, VA while it awaits relocation to BLACKSBURG, VA under the AM Revitalization rules.
ALEXANDRA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for K262CJ/PENDLETON, OR due to transmitter failure and while it awaits a move to a new site for use under the AM Revitalization rules.
PEORIA CHRISTIAN RADIO CORPORATION has filed for a Silent STA for low power WWKJ-LP/PEORIA, IL due to "transmitter failure and lack of resources to replace it at this time."
And RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. has closed on the sale of W288DH/HAMPTON, SC to LAMM MEDIA GROUP, INC. for $50,000. The translator will rebroadcast Full Service WTSB-A/SELMA, NC.
Also, RADIO DALHART, INC. has asked the FCC to allow him to withdraw his request to have the license for KXQK/COMSTOCK, TX terminated so he can sell the reinstated license to HOUSTON CHRISTIAN BROADCASTERS, INC.
Also, SAGA COMMUNICATIONS has closed on the sale of the tower of Classic Rock WAFX (106.9 THE FOX)/SUFFOLK-NORFOLK, VA to SBA COMMUNICATIONS. The tower is in WINDSOR, west of NORFOLK. MICHAEL J. BERGNER of BERGNER AND CO. served as exclusive broker for the tower deal, which does not include the station itself.
