SLACKER RADIO has made a pair of moves to shore up its programming team.
First, SLACKER ups longtime programmer BRITTANY “PARKER” DANLEY to Format Captain: Pop. DANLEY, who already hosts SLACKER offerings such as TODAY’S HITS, ‘80s, ‘90s & TODAY and THE WEEKLY SLACKER TOP 40 COUNTDOWN, will now oversee SLACKER’s entire suite of Pop stations. Her resume includes stints at WWWQ/DETROIT, KSTZ/DES MOINES, KQKQ/OMAHA, KBKS/SEATTLE and WWWQ/ATLANTA. She started at SLACKER in 2006.
“This is a new position at SLACKER,” said VP/Programming KEVIN STAPLEFORD. “We created it to acknowledge BRITTANY’s increasing role in impacting every station that veers into Pop territory. She knows this world better than anyone else I know and we’re lucky to have someone with her talent on our team."
Meanwhile, SLACKER also welcomes VICTOR CABALLERO in another newly created role, Format Captain: Latin. CABALLERO comes to SLACKER with over two decades of radio experience, including morning drive at XHRM (MAGIC) and XHTZ (Z90)/SAN DIEGO and KXOL (MEGA 96.3), the first bilingual music station in LOS ANGELES. More recently, he served as FUTURI Pres./Broadcast Services and VP/Partner Integration. Currently, he is the CEO of THE MAX AGENCY.
“VICTOR has an amazing grasp on the diverse Latin audience,” STAPLEFORD explains. "As our Format Captain, he will be restructuring our existing roster of Latin offerings and ensuring that we have a killer lineup of Latin stations that meet the needs of one of our fastest-growing listener segments."
