FCC Fines California Noncomm Under Consent Decree For Underwriting Violations

The FCC has reached a consent decree with the CESAR CHAVEZ FOUNDATION that settles underwriting violation allegations against noncommercial Regional Mexican KUFW (LA CAMPESINA 90.5 FM)/WOODLAKE-VISALIA, CA and fines the licensee $12,500 while clearing the way for the license to be renewed.  The station's license renewal was challenged by GERAWAN FARMING, INC.

The licensee is planning to swap KUFW for Contemporary Christian KVPW (AIR 1)/KINGSBURG-FRESNO, CA and must do so or divest KUFW within six months.
