WDJX's Ben & Kelly K Win At Best Of Louisville Awards

Congratulations to ALPHA MEDIA Top 40 WDJX/LOUISVILLE's morning team of BEN DAVIS and KELLY K, who were honored with an award for "Best Morning Show For Humor" at the Best of Louisville Awards held earlier this month. The ceremony also raised funds for the local chapter of the MS Society.  

The awards were created 31 years ago by LOUISVILLE MAGAZINE. The nominees and winners are solely determined by submissions from the readers in categories ranging from entertainment, nightlife, restaurants/food, coaches, high schools, council members and media. BEN and KELLY have been consistently nominated, while the station, which has won "Best Radio Station For Music" in previous years, was a runner-up this year.    

ALPHA MEDIA Program Director, OTIS MAHER commented on the announcement, "It’s so great to have a morning team who makes it feel effortless with humor, chemistry, and connection to their listeners. BEN, KELLY and ALEX have become a landmark in the city of LOUISVILLE and in the hearts of listeners."

BEN DAVIS told ALL ACCESS, "I’m so thankful to be able to do what I love on a daily basis and connect with the listener on-air, online, and in person. In addition, I’m honored that we’re being recognized for something other than our looks!"

KELLY added, "The best part about this award is that it wasn't anything we campaigned for or were chosen for by executives at the magazine. People just thought to write us in. I think that makes us #squadgoals."
