ESPN has debuted another multiplatform documentary using audio, print, TV, and digital content to tell the story of a pair of high school wrestling co-captains whose lives collided as adults as one became a DEA agent and the other a drug trafficker. "PIN KINGS" includes 16 podcast episodes leading to a primetime ESPN2 TV special on AUGUST 22nd, plus a long form feature in ESPN THE MAGAZINE, content on ESPN.COM, and an early airing of the TV show on WATCHESPN and the ESPN app.
“ESPN’s mission is to serve sports fans anytime, anywhere, and PIN KINGS fits that mission by serving content to sports fans in every manner they consume it,” said Senior Coordinating Producer, ESPN Features Unit VICTOR VITARELLI. “This is new ground for us. We have never done an original programming cross-platform production of this magnitude.” ESPN AUDIO offered its first long-form podcast series, "DUNKUMENTARIES," earlier this year.
