Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame Names Class of 2016

The NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME (NSHOF) will induct BETH NIELSEN CHAPMAN, AARON BARKER, BOB MORRISON, and the late TOWNES VAN ZANDT to the HALL during the 46th annual NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME GALA on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9th at NASHVILLE's MUSIC CITY CENTER. CHAPMAN has penned TRISHA YEARWOOD's "Down On My Knees," FAITH HILL's "This Kiss," and others. BARKER has written hits including GEORGE STRAIT's "Baby Blue," "Love Without End, Amen," "Easy Come, Easy Go," and more. MORRISON penned KENNY ROGERS' "You Decorated My Life" and "Love The World Away," and many others. VAN ZANDT's catalog includes his "To Live Is To Fly" and "No Place To Fall."
“The strength and power of the NASHVILLE songwriting community is legendary all over the world,” said NSHOF member PAT ALGER. “The legacy of the creative forebears of the songwriters currently making the noise in our town is annually recognized by the induction of a few of those great writers into the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME." CHAPMAN and BARKER will be inducted in the Songwriter category; MORRISON in the Veteran category; and the late VAN ZANDT in the Songwriter/Artist category.
