Changes At Scripps/Tulsa: KHTT (K-Hits) PD John Roberts, KFAQ-A's Eddie Huff & Richard Linihan Exit
August 11, 2016 at 6:41 AM (PT)
SCRIPPS/TULSA has made a number of personnel changes, with the exit of Top 40 KHTT (106.9 K-HITS) PD JOHN ROBERTS after just over a year being the biggest move.
ROBERTS told ALL ACCESS, "My time at K-HITS was certainly a challenge. It took a few months to get the turnaround I was sent here to orchestrate started (typical for a heritage station in diary markets), but by DECEMBER we began to see the movement we'd all been working for. That kicked off a six-month run of consistent ratings growth that resulted in K-HITS delivering its two best books in years so far in 2016, and recapturing its former top-tier ranks. I wish I could've had at least another few weeks with SCRIPPS, as my five-year anniversary with the company was coming up --- MILWAUKEE and TULSA combined - along with a big personal career mark. Hopefully I can be back in action by that date!"
Reach out to JOHN ROBERTS at (901) 605-1012 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also exiting are News/Talk KFAQ-A morning co-host EDDIE HUFF and morning anchor RICHARD LINIHAN, along with cluster Production Dir. TERRY COOPER.
OM STEVE HUNTER tells ALL ACCESS K-HITS programming responsibilities will be absorbed internally. The station has awarded APD stripes to midday goddess TABATHA GRAMMER. "After joining SCRIPPS, I was immediately impressed with TABATHA. She is a very smart strategic programmer and I look forward to watching her grow in her new leadership role. TABATHA is a superstar who knows how to make it come out of the speakers!"
Night slammer ALY PRESSER moves from evenings to mornings, with a new morning co-host to be named soon. The search is on for a new night host for K-HITS.
