GREEN DAY has just premiered their new lyric video for the song, "Bang Bang," from their just-announced new album, "Revolution Radio," which comes out OCTOBER 7th on FACEBOOK.
Afterwards, the group took to FACE BOOK LIVE for the first time ever where they gave a private tour of their studio and answered fan questions about their latest single and new album.
BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG described the new album to ROLLING STONE as a politically charged collection of songs about the chaotic state of AMERICA in 2016. The album is the first since releasing their 2012 trilogy, "Uno," "Dos" and "Tres."
ARMSTRONG described "Bang Bang" to ROLLING STONE: "It's about the culture of mass shooting that happens in AMERICA mixed with narcissistic social media. There's this sort of rage happening, but it's also now being filmed and we all have ourselves under surveillance. To me, that is so twisted. To get into the brain of someone like that was freaky. It freaked me out. After I wrote it, all I wanted to do was get that out of my brain because it just freaked me out."
