Paul de Sa Rejoins FCC As Chief Of Office Of Strategic Planning And Policy

PAUL DE SA is returning to the post of Chief of the Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis at the FCC starting later this month, Chairman TOM WHEELER announced TODAY (8/16). DE SA served in the post under former Chairman JULIUS GENACHOWSKI in 2009-12 before leaving to work at BERNSTEIN RESEARCH as Senior Analyst covering U.S. telecommunications. This time around, DE SA replaces ELIZABETH BILEY ANDRION, who has been serving as Acting Chief and who is leaving the Commission; JAY SCHWARZ remains as Acting Deputy Chief.
WHEELER said, “PAUL has a rare combination of business insight, technical expertise, and policy experience that will make him an invaluable addition to our team. PAUL is the ideal person to lead OSP as we pursue our agenda of promoting innovation and competition and protecting consumers.”
