The syndicated ARMSTRONG AND GETTY SHOW has been added at four more CUMULUS stations, including News-Talk KKAT-A/SALT LAKE CITY, KTBL-A/ALBUQUERQUE, KMJ-A-F/FRESNO, and Sports KVEN-A/VENTURA. CUMULUS added the show, based at iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KSTE-A/SACRAMENTO, to the lineup of News-Talk KGO-A/SAN FRANCISCO in APRIL; it had previously aired in the market on iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KKSF-A (TALK 910), which subsequently flipped to Spanish Sports under an LMA with ESPN DEPORTES RADIO.
In FRESNO, the show is being tape-delayed to 9-11p (PT); in SALT LAKE CITY, the show is airing live 7-10a (MT); and in ALBUQUERQUE, the show is also airing live 7-10a (MT).
In a press release heralding the affiliations, CUMULUS SVP DAVE MILNER said, “ARMSTRONG AND GETTY’s popularity and overall growth, as well as their irreverent and entertaining style make them a perfect choice for expansion on our spoken word stations.”
In the release, JACK ARMSTRONG and JOE GETTY said, “We’re very, very excited about growing our relationship with CUMULUS and bringing THE ARMSTRONG & GETTY SHOW to these great markets. The whole CUMULUS team has been extremely supportive of the show and our approach to talk radio. News, events, opinion and humor are NOT mutually exclusive! We believe it’s possible to be informed, concerned and smart and still have fun.”
