Country Stations Win Big At Kansas Association Of Broadcasters Awards

Kudos to the Country station winners of the 2016 KANSAS ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS (KAB) AWARDS presented recently.
Winners included: DIERKING COMMUNICATIONS Country KDNS/RUSSELL, KS for Small Market Complete Sportscast and Station Website, which also secured second place honors for Sports Feature and third place for Hard News Feature/Enterprise; KNZA INC. Country KAIR/ATCHISON, KS in Small Market for third place News Feature, second place Special Program. In Medium Market, EAGLE COMMUNICATIONS Country KHOK/GREAT BEND, KS won for News Feature; ALPHA MEDIA Country KYEZ/SALINA, KS took home third place for DJ Personality Aircheck for the "Y WAKE UP SHOW" with CHAD ALLEN and HANNAH. Large Market stations taking home prizes included CUMULUS Country KTOP/TOPEKA, which walked away with second place Commercial Sixty Seconds Or Less and second place Station Promotion Announcement; SCRIPPS Country KFDI/WICHITA, which landed second place honors for Complete Newscast, the winning spot for Spot News, top honors for Complete Severe Weather Coverage, second place in Special Program, and second in DJ Personality Aircheck for "BOBBY KNIGHT AFTERNOON SHOW;" ALPHA MEDIA Country WIBW-F/TOPKEA, landing second place for Station Website; and ALPHA MEDIA Classic Country KTPK/TOPEKA, which grabbed third place for Station Website.
