The STRUTHERS, OH BOARD OF EDUCATION is taking bids on the sale or management of noncommercial Triple A WKTL/STRUTHERS, OH, which has been mostly simulcasting AKRON PUBLIC SCHOOLS Triple A WAPS (91.3 THE SUMMIT)/AKRON for the YOUNGSTOWN market under a lease arrangement with the same group that leases WAPS.
The YOUNGSTOWN VINDICATOR reports that bids are open as of TODAY (10/7) in the afternoon and that the minimum bid will be $900,000. The school board has indicated that it is not bound to sell the station and is looking to measure the property's value; a recent appraisal put the value at about $800,000.
