ALPHA MEDIA's SAN ANTONIO cluster held its 9th Annual RAUL JIMENEZ THANKSGIVING Dinner Radiothon on FRIDAY (10/21). The event raised over $131,000 which will help pay for what the stations call "the largest THANKSGIVING dinner in the country," named after the late local restauranteur RAUL JIMENEZ and serving over 25,000 of the area's most needy and elderly. JIMENEZ' daughter PATRICIA continues to run the annual event, which has been held for the past 36 years.
ALPHA MEDIA Operations Dir. GREG MARTIN said, “It’s a great joy to partner with an organization that is pure SAN ANTONIO and gives back to the community in a big way each year.”
PATRICIA JIMENEZ said, "We're appreciative of ALPHA MEDIA for hosting the radiothon for a ninth straight year and the generosity of the SAN ANTONIO community never ceases to amaze us. This was a record-breaking year of giving, and while we were so incredibly thrilled at the response, we were not surprised at the giving nature of the individuals that make up this great city. The support will enable us to create an unforgettable experience at our community table on THANKSGIVING Day. It is truly a feast of the heart, in every sense of the word."
The cluster includes News-Talk KTSA-A-K296GK, Spanish Sports KHHL (ESPN DEPORTES 103.1), Sports KZDC-A-K233DB (ESPN SAN ANTONIO), Adult Hits KJXK (102.7 JACK FM), Regional Mexican KTXN-A-F (NORTEÑO 720/104.1), Regional Mexican KLEY-F (LA LEY 92.7), Alternative KTFM-HD2-K277CX (103.3 THE APP), and Top 40/Rhythmic KTFM (ENERGY 94.1).
