COX MEDIA GROUP/HOUSTON stations Country KKBQ (THE NEW 93Q), Country KTHT (COUNTRY LEGENDS 97.1/106.9), and Classic Rock KGLK (107.5 HOUSTON'S EAGLE) listeners helped raise $655,329 for TEXAS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL during the 13th annual Radiothon on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1st and FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2nd.
The two-day long live broadcast from the HOSPITAL raised funds to benefit patient care, education, and research at TEXAS CHILDREN'S CANCER CENTER, as well as funding the building of a new pediatric tower in the medical center for the most critically ill children, and the opening of TEXAS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL THE WOODLANDS.
CMG HOUSTON VP/Market Manager MARK KRIESCHEN said, "We have caring listeners who step up each year to support our association with TEXAS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. Having our radio stations participate for the 13th year shows our commitment to this great cause. Our hearts were touched again by the strength of the children and the dedication of volunteers and staff.”
