Bluegrass duo DAILEY & VINCENT, comprised of JAMIE DAILEY and DARRIN VINCENT, have been invited to join the GRAND OLE OPRY as official members. The invitation came during the pair's 100th OPRY appearance, which coincided with the celebration of their 10th anniversary as a duo.
During the special half-hour set at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM, DAILEY & VINCENT were joined by OPRY members MARTY STUART and CONNIE SMITH, as well as JOHN CARTER CASH and wife ANA CRISTINA. STUART made the official ask of the duo, stating, "Country music needs you. Country music loves you. And the GRAND OLE OPRY welcomes you."
A shocked DAILEY responded with "This is one of the most special things that has ever happened to us. We are so thankful." Added VINCENT, "I have no words. I'm so honored. The LORD is so faithful to us." DAILEY & VINCENT will be formally inducted into the OPRY on SATURDAY, MARCH 11th.
