RIAA Awards Year-End Top Certifications

In 2016, RIAA certified 890 Digital Single Awards (245 multi-Platinum, 228 Platinum, 371 Gold), led by MARK RONSON featuring BRUNO MARS 11-times-Platinum "Uptown Funk." The organization also handed out 407 Album Awards, including 108 multi-Platinum (led by MICHAEL JACKSON's "Thriller" at 32-times-Platinum, ELTON JOHN's "Greatest Hits" at 17-times-Platinum and ADELE's 14-times-Platinum"21"), 105 Platinum albums and 173 Gold albums, including 29 albums and 75 songs released in 2016..
