Former radio talk show host and FOX NEWS personality MONICA CROWLEY, tapped to serve as Senior Director of Strategic Communications for the National Security Council by President-elect TRUMP, plagiarized "large sections" of her 2012 book "What the (Bleep) Just Happened," according to a report by CNN.
A CNN KFile report says that there are 50 examples of plagiarism in CROWLEY's book, with sections copied from other sources, including Wikipedia and other columnists and news reports, with minor changes, and the book contains no citations, notes, or bibliography.
Neither CROWLEY nor publisher HARPERCOLLINS commented to CNN, but a spokesman for the TRUMP transition team dismissed concerns about plagiarism, telling CNN, "MONICA’s exceptional insight and thoughtful work on how to turn this country around is exactly why she will be serving in the Administration. HARPERCOLLINS -- one of the largest and most respected publishers in the world -- published her book which has become a national best-seller. Any attempt to discredit MONICA is nothing more than a politically motivated attack that seeks to distract from the real issues facing this country."
CROWLEY hosted hosted her own show for CUMULUS News-Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK locally in 2002-2006 and then for WESTWOOD ONE (2006-08) and TALK RADIO NETWORK (2008-14) nationally. She was a political analyst at FOX NEWS in 1996-2004 and 2007 until her appointment to the NSC was announced in DECEMBER.
