Radiodays Europe Returns For 2017 In Amsterdam This March

RADIODAYS EUROPE is an annual conference for radio professionals with 1500 participants from 62 countries. It is the meeting point for the EUROPEAN radio industry, both private and public, and a destination for radio people from around the world. It was last held in PARIS, FRANCE MARCH 13-15, 2016 at Le Palais des Congrès de PARIS. The next RADIODAYS EUROPE it will be held at RAI CONVENTION CENTER, AMSTERDAM on MARCH 19-21, 2017.
“THE ASSOCIATION RADIODAYS EUROPE” is a not for profit organization with the sole purpose of organizing the annual radio conference. The association was founded by the NORDIC PUBLIC BROADCASTERS DR, NRK, SR and YLE and these organisations make up the board of the association. Chairman of the Board is JAN PETERSSON, SWEDISH RADIO.
New and updated features to this year’s conference line-up are to include, RADIO HACK EUROPE -- an open development and prototyping event for the radio industry and new initiative being launched by RADIODAYS EUROPE set to run for the duration of this year’s conference where participants and coaches (developers, graphic designers, on air personalities, radio editors, radio enthusiasts and technology partners) will be working on the future of radio by creating, refining and developing ideas and technologies in this 48 hour event from FRIDAY evening MARCH 17th (warm-up) till SUNDAY evening the 19th of MARCH (hack pitches and jury votes).
An international jury will evaluate the resulting hack pitches. While all hack sheets will be featured in the poster stand area of RDE at RAI AMSTERDAM (MARCH 19th-21st), the winners will make it to the main stage and will be presented to the 1500+ international radio professionals and media attending and covering RDE. The main conference speaker line-up for 2017 (confirmed) includes BOB SHENNAN, the new Director of Radio and Music for the BBC, UK; MANOUSH ZOMORDI, award winning host of the podcast «Note to Self», WNYC, USA; STEPHANIE HIRST, award winning radio DJ and an icon of the UK transgender community, UK; SEBASTIEN FITZEK, successful thriller author and radio contributor, GERMANY; MARK KAYE, social media star on SNAPCHAT, USA; CRAIG BRUCE, talent coach, AUSTRALIA; MARIANA SANTOS, visual storyteller, founder of CHICAS PODEROSAS, PORTUGAL; JEFF SMITH, Head of Music for BBC RADIO 2 and BBC 6 MUSIC, UK; CHARLOTTE PUDLOWSKI, Journalist and head of audio at Slate, FRANCE; MARC HABERLAND, Vice-PD at 104.6 RTL BERLIN, GERMANY; TONY THOMAS, Chief Marketing and Digital Officer, NOVA, AUSTRALIA; VALERIE WEBER, Director WDR, COLOGNE, GERMANY.
