KINK/Portland’s Sheila Hamilton Honored with Judy Cushing Celebrating Life Award

ALPHA MEDIA, PORTLAND, OR has announced that Triple A KINK Morning Music Run co-host, SHEILA HAMILTON, will receive the PRESTIGIOUS JUDY CUSHING CELEBRATING LIFE AWARD during the ALWAYS HOPE 2017 GALA to benefit LINES FOR LIFE on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24th at the SENTINEL HOTEL.

HAMILTON, a five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and author, shared her first-hand experience with losing her husband to suicide in her book “All the Things We Never Knew.”  She is an outspoken advocate for change in mental health care. "Mental illness, substance abuse and suicide touch so many families in our society.  I'm grateful to be honored by LINES FOR LIFE, whose trained volunteers deescalate 98% of the over 17,000 suicide line calls received annually. That's important, lifesaving work,” she said.
