iHEARTMEDIA Country WMIL (FM 106.1)/MILWAUKEE has unveiled a new morning show, “RIDDER, SCOTT, AND SHANNEN,” effective immediately. This news follows TUESDAY’s announcement from longtime host KAREN DALESSANDRO that she was retiring after 19 years with the station (NET NEWS 3/7).
“I am excited to introduce RIDDER, SCOTT, AND SHANNEN to the FM106.1 listener family,” said iHEARTMEDIA/MILWAUKEE SVP/Programming KERRY WOLFE. “This trio has the energy and humor to get your mornings started. Their knowledge and passion for the MILWAUKEE community and Country music make them a perfect team for FM106.1.”
SCOTT DOLPHIN remains from the “KAREN, SCOTT, AND RADAR” iteration of WMIL mornings, joined as a co-host now by five-year station vet, SHANNEN, who had already been part of the show. She began her career at WMIL as a promotions intern. SHAUN RIDDER is a three-year veteran of WMIL afternoons. Send congrats here. WOLFE tells ALL ACCESS the search is on for RIDDER's PMD successor.
As a result of the morning show rebuild, longtime co-host TONY “RADAR” HESS, 17-year WMIL vet, has left the station.
