ENTERCOM Hot AC WSTR (STAR 94.1)/ATLANTA's JEFF & JENN SHOW have announced a donation to launch "REESE's MaGIC FUND" at CHILDREN's HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA (CHOA) with a starting donation of $40,000.
Named after REESE RIVERA, daughter of morning show co-host JENN HOBBY, the charity is earmarked to help doctors treat other children through the MALIGNANT GERM CELL INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM (MaGIC), lead by DR. THOMAS OLSON and DR. MEGAN DURHAM at CHOA’s EGGLESON CAMPUS.
Proceeds were raised from listener donations and "JENN's BIG DEAL BIRTHDAY" in FEBRUARY marking the first major charitable donation from THE JEFF & JENN SHOW since launching on STAR 94.1 a year ago.
According to morning show co-host JENN HOBBY, “REESE’s MRI shows no residual signs of a tumor, and no signs of cancer. There are simply no words for the gratitude we feel for her medical team. Because ‘thank you’ seems insufficient, this is our way to express it.”
VP/GM MIKE FOWLER added, “CHOA does such great work with the children they help, as witnessed by us with the treatment they gave REESE. We are so grateful and just wanted to find a way help other families going through this trying time. We really want to thank all of our listeners who so generously donated to this worthy cause in REESE’s name.”
