Big Pumpkin Down ... And Not Getting Up Again!

Ah, this is what radio's all about! Dragging mindless listeners out into the rain to see a stunt they'll tell their grandkids about -- maybe -- as ENTERCOM Hot AC WZPL/INDIANAPOLIS morning man DAVE SMILEY's "4th Annual Great Pumpkin Drop" went off -- without a hitch -- in the cold rain at METROPOLIS MALL in PLAINFIELD, IN this morning.
For some reason, folks love to see vulnerable objects dropped from great heights to hear the satisfying s-s-s-p-p-l-a-a-a-a-a-t of something soft as it becomes molecularly joined with the unforgiving pavement. And, DAVE SMILEY didn't disappoint as he arranged for a 400+-pound pumpkin to fall from nearly 200 feet. Yes, and it was all you'd expect from a grand event such as this! Don't believe us?
