Vancouver Radio Personality Dave McCormick Passes Away

Condolences to family and friends of longtime Canadian and U.S. radio personality DAVE MCCORMICK, who died in VANCOUVER on MARCH 29th at 80, according to an obituary placed in the VANCOUVER SUN and THE PROVINCE.
MCCORMICK started his career at age 14 at CHML-A/HAMILTON, and was one of the original Top 40 jocks at CFUN-A/VANCOUVER in 1959. He worked at KMAK-A and KYNO-A/FRESNO, KOL-A/SEATTLE, KMEN-A/SAN BERNARDINO, and CKNW-A, CJJR-A, and CISL-A/VANCOUVER, and won several honors in the latter market, including BRITISH COLUMBIA Broadcaster of the Year, BC Country Music Association On-Air Personality of the Year, and induction into the BC CMA Hall of Fame and the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame's Star Walk.
