WOCY/Carrabelle, FL Set For Country Flip

LIVE COMMUNICATIONS Sports WOCY/CARRABELLE,  FL is getting set for a flip to Country, branded as “CROSS COUNTRY 106.5,” with an ETA of MONDAY, MAY 1st -- or sooner. The station will reportedly mix today’s Country hits with Classic Country tunes.

ALL ACCESS has learned that STEVE MALONE will handle PD/middays, with MIKE BEWLEY and EDDIE MONEY hosting the “BUCKEY & BIG MONEY MORNING SHOW.” The station services the coast of FLORIDA, including APALACHICOLA, EASTPOINT, PORT ST. JOE, CARRABELLE, and ST. GEORGE ISLAND. The flip marks a return to Country for WOCY, which was previously known as “OYSTER COUNTRY” until its 2011 flip to Top 40 (NET NEWS 3/14/11), which preceded a subsequent move to Sports.
