Dan Pelson To Sr. VP At WMG

WMG announced the appointment of DAN PELSON as Sr. VP/Global Consumer Marketing. PELSON will be based in NEW YORK and will oversee the enhancement of the company's overall consumer marketing strategy on a global basis.
"The digital transformation of the music industry has completely recast the relationship among artists, labels and fans and requires us to think differently about our interactions with consumers," said WMG Exec. VP/Digital Strategy & Business Development ALEX ZUBILLAGA. "A senior executive with DAN's talent and background, who can advance WMG's ongoing efforts to customize marketing programs to consumers with new promotional and commercial platforms, is an absolutely essential component of where WMG is headed during the next phase of its development."
