NPR's latest podcast is targeted at children, its first for the demographic. "WOW IN THE WORLD," focusing on science and technology, is hosted by "TED RADIO HOUR" and "HOW I BUILT THIS" host GUY RAZ and SIRIUSXM KIDS PLACE LIVE host MINDY THOMAS and produced by new production company TINKERCAST and will post weekly starting MAY 15th. RAZ and THOMAS previously hosted a FRIDAY news segment, "BREAKFAST BLAST NEWSCAST," on KIDS PLACE LIVE for three years.
"WOW IN THE WORLD is a place where we can tap into the crazy cool things that are happening all around us, every day!” said THOMAS. “We want to help spark conversations between kids and other kids and also with their grown-ups that will ultimately lead to their own big discoveries.”
“As parents and caregivers, many of us grapple with screen-time,” said RAZ. “This show is not just an alternative to screens but a show about celebrating the spirit of inquiry and encouraging kids to ask even more questions.”
